Please join us for our May Workshop: Emotionally Intelligent Leadership, presented by Carol Salloway, Executive Coach, Performa Consulting Group.
Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Learn the most important skills needed to become a successful leader!
To become a successful leader in today’s corporate world means being able to tune into your own emotions and those of others and skillfully manage your behavior and your relationships.
Unlike IQ, EQ can be developed. Learn how to build your competence in each of the 4 main components of EQ.
- Social awareness
- Relationship management
This event will offer the opportunity to practice these components with excellent tools & strategies and bring them back to both your professional and personal life. We will be discussing:
- The brain science of emotions that influence behavior
- Hot buttons & how to respond skillfully under pressure
- Ways of thinking that limit options and those that open up choices
- Ways of tuning into others’ experience, even when it is challenging.
The research is in! People with higher levels of emotional intelligence are more successful by all measures – result produced, relationships, influence, compensation, you name it. And those with lower levels of EQ often don’t progress as far or may even find their might career risk. As John Kotter of Harvard Business School says, “it is not a question of strategy that gets managers and leaders into trouble, it is a question of emotions.”
